How We Handle Your Information.

Hello. This page explains what information RankMagic holds about you, why we hold it, and how to stop hearing from us. If you've arrived here from one of our emails, thank you for taking a look.

1. Who we are

RankMagic is a done-for-you Amazon Creator Connections and affiliate and creator outreach agency, run by Lex Mahinay from the Philippines. Lex Mahinay, trading as RankMagic, is responsible for your information (the "controller").

2. What we collect

If we've emailed you, we may hold:

• Your name, job title and company
• Your work email address
• The public web page where we found your email address
• Your replies to us, including any request to opt out

We don't track whether you open our emails or click the links in them.

3. Where it comes from

We only use information that has been published publicly, such as company websites, press and media pages, and business directories. We keep a note of the exact page, so every email can tell you where we found your address.

4. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your details to email you, as someone working at a consumer brand, about services that could help your business, and to deal with any reply you send.

Under UK data protection law, our legal basis is legitimate interests: our interest in finding new business clients. We've weighed that against your interests and think it's fair because:

• We only use business contact details that you or your company chose to publish.
• We only write about things that are relevant to your role.
• Every email says where we found you and gives you a simple way to opt out.
• The impact on you is small: a few emails, which you can stop at any time.

We only send these emails to work email addresses at companies, never to personal addresses.

For recipients in the US, our emails follow the CAN-SPAM Act: honest subject lines, our postal address in every email, and a working way to opt out.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We only share it with the service providers who help us run our outreach, and only so they can do that job:

• Instantly — our email sending platform
• Emailable — checks that an email address is valid before we write to it
• Google Workspace — for our email and files

6. How long we keep it

• If you opt out, we stop emailing you. Within 30 days, we delete your details or add your email address to a suppression list. That list holds only what we need to make sure we never contact you again.
• If you don't reply, we delete your details after 12 months.

7. Your rights

You can opt out at any time. Just reply "no" to any of our emails, or click the unsubscribe link.

You also have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct it
• Ask us to delete it
• Object to us using it

If you're in the UK and unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk . We'd be grateful for the chance to put things right first.

8. International transfers

Our team works from the Philippines and our service providers are mainly based in the US, so your information is processed in both countries. When UK data is sent abroad, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the UK's approved contract clauses for international transfers, or the UK-US Data Bridge where a provider is certified under it.

9. Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
